Annika Charles Sorenstam was an Swedish professional golfer. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers in history. Before retiring from the professional game at the age of 28, she had won over 90 international tournaments as an amateur. This made her the woman golfer with most victories. Annika Sorenstam's biography: Annika Sorenstam was a Swedish female golfer noted for her outstanding performances. In 2008, she was at the peak of her golf career. Annika was a champion in over 90 events across the world and is regarded as the top female golfer of all time. Annika was a winner of 72 LPGA tournaments, as well as ten major and 18 additional tournaments all over the world. Annika is a 50-year old woman who was born on September 9, 1970. Tom Gunilla was her mother. Tom was an IBM executive, while Gunilla was employed in a bank institution. Her sister was a professional athlete and coach of the Annika academy. The sisters were the first golfers to reach 1 million in the LPGA. Mike McGee is her husband and they have two kids, Madelyn McGee & William Nicholas McGee. Annika and Mike got married in January 2009, both on the same date. Annika is an accomplished golfer since her early days. She also played soccer and junior tennis National player. She was a great skier, too. This led their family to Sweden to pursue this professional sport. In 1994, she was a qualified to play in the LPGA Final Tournament. She also won the first ever professional ALPG Tour Australia. Annika received the honor of being named LPGA rookie of the year following her finish in the top 3. Annika's breakthrough came in 1995 with her win at The US Women Open LPGA tour. Annika was the first woman outside of America to win the Vare trophy. Along with that Annika got a spot among the Money list. Annika decided not to play in the 2008 season. The first pitch was pitched by her in the evening. In the Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open, he won the most recent tournament in a playoff. Ladies European Tour, Ladies Asian Tour was the sponsor of the tournament.
