Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends soul gospel jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway up to the Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine was born Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician singing and playing in the local church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B music scene. The first track to showcase her voice was Stalk You the Japanese version of 12 song. It was remixed and has become a part of her set. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral for the stage production of Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was noticed by all of the country during 4 performances a day during 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later requested to sing with the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
