Jill AND Mary

Jillian Noel Shennessy, born 25th November, 1968 in Canada, is a Canadian performer and actress who has been acknowledged for her contributions to American television. Her fame is due to her outstanding performances on the American television series Law & Order where she captivated audiences for three seasons as prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan wherein she played the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy also showed off her talent in movies like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. She also created and directed these movies. Hennessy began her acting career as an actor in Dead Ringers with her sister. She briefly appeared in Buddy The Buddy Holly Story The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in 1990. In 1993, she stepped out of the world of musicals, and into the science-fiction genre, playing Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her breakthrough came at the end of 1993, when she was cast as Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. Parker has appeared on films and TV series like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys at the Side the West Wing Angels, for which Parker was awarded an Golden Globe Award as well as an Emmy Award. Parker has also been awarded the Tony Award for Best Actress 2001 for her performance in the Broadway show Proof.
